WHAT WE
BELIEVE

The entire Word of God is
the basis and foundation of this church fellowship and
is summarized as follows...
We
believe in the Old and New Testaments as verbally
inspired of God; inerrant in the original writings, and
that they are the final authority in faith, doctrine,
and life.
(2 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 5:18; 1 Thess. 2:13)
We believe in one God, eternally existent
in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Dt.
6:4; Ps. 90:2; Matt. 28:19)
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten
of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is
totally God and totally man. (Isa. 7:14; Jn. 20:28;
Phil. 2:8)
We believe that man was created in the
image of God; that he fell into sin and thereby incurred
both physical and spiritual death; and that all human
beings are born with a sinful nature.
(Gen. 1:26-28; Ps.
51:5; Rom 3:9-12)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ
died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a
representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that
all who believe in Him and receive Him as Savior are
justified on the ground of His shed blood.
(Rom.
5:12-19; Acts 16:31; 1 Jn. 1:7-9)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of
the Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into heaven, and
in His present living there for us as High Priest and
Advocate.
(1 Cor. 15:12-19; Acts 1:6-11; Heb. 7:25)
We believe that salvation is by grace
through faith, and that all who repent of their sin, and
believe in, and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior
are born again of the Holy Spirit into the family of
God.
(Eph. 2:8-10; Jn. 1:12-13; 2 Cor. 5:17)
We believe that the return of our Lord
Jesus Christ to catch up His people to meet Him in the
air is imminent.
(1 Thess. 4:17; 5:6,9)
We believe in the personal and bodily
return of our Lord Jesus Christ to set up His kingdom
upon the earth.
(Rev. 20:1-10; Isa. 2:2-4)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of
the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of
the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of
the lost.
(1 Cor. 15:50-57; Rev. 20:1-6; 21:1-8; Lk.
16:19-31) |
