Luke 2:52 – " . . . and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men."
There are 940 weekends from the time a child is born to the time they go to college. By the time they are in kindergarten there are 636 weekends left. Weekends!! What are you going to do with your children on the weekends?
We want to partner with you on the weekends to help you develop virtues into your children. The friends your children spend time with will ultimately determine the direction of their life! We want to partner with you on the weekend to build those relationships that help you direct your children’s lives.
So … what are you going to do with your weekend? Make it a priority to arrive at 9:20am to bring your children to UPTOWN and let us partner with you to build the basics of Luke 2:52 virtues into your children’s lives.
The “3 Basic Truths” taught –
Wisdom: I need to make wise choices.
Faith: I can trust God no matter what.
Friendship: I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each basic truth is amplified by a weekly key concept, about one virtue each month, taught over a 3-year period. The curriculum includes 150 Bible stories and is based on core virtues and memory verses each month.
Each Sunday, there are three components, each targeted to a particular type of learning and relational environment:
1. POWER UP – designed to engage children in worship within a large group setting.
2. CATCH ON –designed to help kids understand how the day's topic applies to them. They will discuss real-life experiences, interact with a close-knit group of peers, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles and with a Small Group Leader.
3. PLUG IN – Closure, Celebration and Conclusion of plugging in what we have learned and applied in our lives!
Come join us! Allow us to partner with you on the weekends! Make it a priority to be at church by 9:20am, so we can partner with you to build virtues in your children’s lives!
